Project: Illustrating Lasith Malinga’s Handbook
I had the honor of illustrating over 150 visuals for Lasith Malinga’s unique handbook, an essential guide for school cricketers aspiring to master the art of bowling. This one-of-a-kind publication features 21 detailed bowling techniques and highlights some of the most iconic moments from Malinga’s legendary career:
Sachin Tendulkar’s wicket in 2008
The unforgettable 4-in-4 against South Africa (2007)
Another historic 4-in-4 against New Zealand (2019)
The nail-biting final over in the 2019 IPL against CSK
The biggest challenge was developing the illustration style—a blend of technical sketching and a journal-like aesthetic, designed to feel as though the matches were observed and sketched live.
